Connecting the Contractor Office and Field

Office and field teams need different views of the same job. The office manages customers, pricing, schedules and billing. The field needs today's work, the approved scope, site details and a fast way to report what changed.

Problems appear when those views come from different records. A schedule changes in one system while the crew follows an older message. Photos stay on a phone. A change discussed at the jobsite never reaches the final invoice.

One record, focused views

The answer is not forcing everyone into the same crowded screen. A connected platform can show each person the information needed for the task while storing updates on the same customer and project.

For the field, that means a mobile view with appointments, addresses, scope, files, notes and status updates. For the office, it means seeing those updates alongside the estimate, schedule, customer communication and billing history.

Build a dependable handoff

Define who updates the schedule, how a field change is recorded and when work is ready to invoice. Require the important details to live on the project instead of relying on a private text thread. Give each role only the access it needs, but make the job history easy to follow.

A shared system reduces duplicate entry and gives the next person enough context to act. It also creates a clearer record when a customer asks what was approved or when the office needs to understand a delay.
