Accessibility

Amend is software contractors use all day, often on a phone, in a truck, in bright sun, with gloves on. Making it usable for everyone is part of making it usable at all.

What we are aiming for

We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That is our target, and we are not claiming to have met it everywhere yet: the app and this website have not been through an independent accessibility audit. We would rather tell you where we stand than publish a claim we have not tested.

What we do today

What we know is not right yet

This list is real, and we keep it current:

Tell us, and we will fix it

If any part of Amend is hard to use, email [email protected] with the word Accessibility in the subject. Tell us the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and the device or assistive technology you use, if you are comfortable sharing it.

We aim to reply within five business days. If a fix will take longer than that, we will tell you what we are doing and offer another way to get the task done in the meantime.

Third-party parts

Some things inside Amend come from other companies — card payment pages hosted by Stripe or PayPal, and bank sign-in screens hosted by Plaid. We do not control how those screens are built. If you hit an accessibility problem there, tell us anyway: we will raise it with them and help you finish what you were doing.
