Delete your account

You can delete your Amend account and everything in it yourself, at any time, without asking us. This page explains how, what is removed, and the few things we are required to keep.

Deleting it yourself

An owner or admin can do this from inside Amend:

  1. Sign in and open Settings.
  2. Go to Security & Privacy and find Your data.
  3. Choose Export all your data first if you want a copy — once the account is deleted we cannot recover it for you.
  4. Choose Delete this company account and confirm it is you.

We ask for your password, or a fresh sign-in with Google or Apple if your account has never had one. Deletion cannot be undone, so we would rather ask twice than lose someone’s business records to a mistaken tap.

If you cannot sign in

Email [email protected] from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm it is you before we do anything, and we will tell you when it is done.

What is deleted

Everything the account holds. Clients and leads, estimates, invoices and payment records we store, projects and schedules, documents and signatures, uploaded files and photos, messages, timesheets and location history, your team’s logins, and what our AI assistant had learned about your business. It is removed from our live systems immediately, and from encrypted backups as those age out on their normal cycle.

What we keep, and why

A short list, and only where the law or an obligation to someone else requires it. None of it contains your clients’ records, your documents, or your files.

Your team’s logins

Deleting a company account removes its people’s access to it. Anyone who also belongs to a different company on Amend keeps that other account; they simply lose this one.

How long it takes

Deleting from inside Amend happens straight away. A request by email is done within 30 days and usually the same working day.

Questions about any of this: [email protected]. See also our Privacy Policy.
